SOL JOURNEY THERAPY
FAQs
How much is therapy?

Individual sessions are $150. I offer a sliding scale based on need and I also take insurance. Co-pay amounts vary depending on the insurance provider. Please feel free to bring any financial questions to our consultation call.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I take the following in-network insurances from California and Arizona: Anthem, Atena, Cedars Sinai, Cigna, Optum, Oxford Health Plans, Oscar, Kaiser Permanente (Southern CA), UMR, UHC Student Resources, AllSavers UHC, UnitedHealthcare, Meritain, MHN, Nippon, and Health Plans Inc. I can also provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
How often can I see you for therapy?
I recommend weekly therapy sessions at the beginning of our work together. This will help us establish consistency which is key to making progress. We can change the cadence as your needs change.
How long are sessions?
55 minutes. If needed, we can add an additional session for the week.
How long will we work together?
We can work together for as long as needed. However, some insurance providers only cover specific number of sessions. Every 3 months, I will check-in with you to ensure that it continues to feel helpful and to determine if we are making progress towards your goals in therapy.
Where are you located?
I am located in California. However, I am licensed and provide virtual psychotherapy in California, Arizona, New Jersey and New York. I am hoping to open an office space in Los Angeles, California where I can provide in-person therapy in the near future. Stay tuned!

What if I received therapy from you in the past and would like to work with you again?

Welcome back! We can definitely reconnect and continue your therapeutic journey.
What is a consultation?
It is a complementary 15 minute phone or video call where you can ask me any questions you may have, I can share my therapeutic approach and you can determine if we would be a good fit.
What if I need to cancel a session?
Yes, you can cancel a session. I understand that life happens and it can impact plans. Please provide a 24 hour notice, if possible. I will charge the full price for missed sessions without notice.
Do you provide clinical supervision?
Yes, I provide clinical supervision for therapists in CA that are working on accruing their clinical hours for independent licensure.
How do I know if I’m ready for therapy?
You desire to feel heard and understood, you are looking for a different perspective from a neutral professional, or you want to try different skills or tools based on evidenced-based practices. It is completely normal to feel nervous about this process. You are in the driver’s seat when in comes to your treatment! You can decide if you are ready to dive into certain topics/trauma, what you want to focus on or if you need to slow the process down.
What types of therapy to do you offer?
I provide individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents and adults. However, I believe that working with a child or adolescents’ caregivers is vital to their progress. I encourage some family sessions and separate (collaborative) sessions with the child/adolescents’ caregivers as well.
I deeply believe in the mind, body and soul connection. Our thoughts (mind) impact our bodies and mood. Our bodies store so much of our emotions. Also, part of the human experience is connecting with our purpose in life/our higher self (soul). All of these three intricate parts impact our whole health. In our sessions, I incorporate all three parts through bodywork and mindfulness practice. Lastly, I have been trained in various modalities which include: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Inner Child Work, Mindfulness & Somatic Practice, among others.
